Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts is a unique national park dedicated to the performing arts. No other national park hosts performances like Wolf Trap does. The Performing Arts at Wolf Trap come in all forms so no matter what your age or taste in shows, you’ll find something you like onstage.
Wolf Trap has three different venues for their performances. The two venues that have performances from May to September are the Children’s Theater-in-the-Woods and the Filene Center. The Theater-in-the-Woods features music, dance, theater, storytelling and puppetry that kids and their parents both fall in love with. The Filene Center is a beautiful outdoor amphitheater that hosts more than 80 musical performances a summer ranging from chart-topping artists to opera singers to jazz musicians. Both of these venues offer amazing performances that are set in beautiful natural surroundings.

The Barns at Wolf Trap is the other performance venue at Wolf Trap. At The Barns, performances run all year-round. The Barns offer a cozy and intimate setting for performances. If you are interested in nights of high quality music where every seat in the venue has a up-close and personal view of the artist, then you will love attending performances at The Barns. The Barns are also available for rent for weddings or private events year-round.
The last great feature of Wolf Trap National Park is the Center for Education on the premises where there is always something new going on. You can take private or group music/performance lessons, have your kids learn about the value of the performance arts or witness teachers learning how to incorporate performance arts in their classes to enhance their lessons. Multiple practice rooms, a lecture hall, multipurpose rooms, an education hall and a learning center make up this beautiful center.
