Eating your way across Bethesda is a great idea, let’s start here!
It’s always refreshing when we come across a restaurant that takes an honest approach to food and has such a passion for wellness. True Food Kitchen cooks by the motto that food should make you feel better, not worse. That vision was brought to life by physician and doctor of integrative medicine, Dr. Andrew Weil who founded True Food Kitchen with these simple beliefs. TFK takes extra steps to source their ingredience with integrity, boldly proclaiming that 100% of their kale is sourced organically from San Miguel Farms in Belize. TFK also takes a seasonal approach to sourcing ingredients which retain more nutrients making them the optimal choice for your health. This is also important because it supports those farmers who farm sustainably; so, the food is not only good for US, but for the environment as well. Integrating seasonal ingredients into their menu is also responsible for the offerings here rotating often which contributes to the menu’s creativity and variety, something most restaurants struggle with. TFK also allows complete customization of their menu to accommodate a variety dietary needs to include keto and paleo. Now, you may think that a place THIS healthy can’t possibly taste good, and that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Here is a list of a few of here:
Edamame Dumplings: dashi, white truffle oil, and Asian herbs. Other favs include
Good Earth Kale Cobb Salad: avocado, organic tomato, brussels sprout, radish, garbanzo bean, dried sweet corn, gorgonzola, cashew poblano ranch
Winter Immunity Bowl: lion’s mane mushroom, farro, quinoa, carrot, broccolini, garbanzo bean, edamame, organic kale, garlic broth

Now, TFK’s menu is 85% V/VEG/GF, but they also offer fish, chicken, and grass-fed beef options. So, there’s something here for all members of your party. The next time that you’re in Bethesda be sure to stop by and try it for yourself because here, eating well is always in season and TFK truly celebrates a passion of better living.
