National Night Out is an annual event that helps build stronger communities. The event is an opportunity for residents and the police/rescue services to come together to help keep the community safe. Neighborhoods across the country will be holding special events on Tuesday, August 2nd, where community members can meet police & rescue service workers. Here is what is taking place at Chevy Chase Village for NNO.

Starting at 6:30pm at Newlands Park, residents of Chevy Chase Village will be able to meet some of the law enforcement officers who protect and serve the community every day. The Rescue Squad and the Fire Department will also be there, helping to build a bond in the tight knit community of Chevy Chase Village. The event will also feature free food and drinks, giveaways, fire trucks & police vehicles to view, and lots of safety tips and information.
