The Taste of Reston

The largest outdoor food festival in the DMV

JUNE 14 – 15 2020

COME ONE, COME ALL!

The great state of Virginia is home to a few different food festivals that draw massive amounts of people from around the country every year, but for the DMV, the Reston Food Festival is king amongst kings. Old Dominion gives us food jewels throughout the year such as The Richmond Jewish Food Festival, the Bacchus Wine and Food Festival, and the Spring Wine and Food Festival, but the Reston Food Festival tops them all in sheer numbers of participants. Every summer droves of hungry folks swarm Reston Town Center to taste, sip, and nibble delectable bites from some of the area’s premier establishments. This year will be the 30th annual TOR and I’m sure that this one will top them all. At the time we are writing this article it is too early to give you a list of participating vendors, beer/wine lists, or the entertainment lineup. However, last year TOR had over 30 restaurants participating to include: Agora, Barcelona, Choolaah Indian BBQ, Colombian’s Place, Nett Fifty Food for the Soul, and more. This year’s beer list includes Starr Hill Brewery, Blue Mountain Brewery, Tröegs, Devil’s Backbone Brewing Company and Bold Rock, as well as Bud Light and Stella Artois. There were also various cooking demonstrations, a family fun zone, and a beer lounge.

This event is FREE, but tickets for food and drinks typically go on sale in the spring. Food tastes range from 1-5 tickets, and beer/wine tastes range from 1-5 tickets. Garage parking is free for the duration of the event, so no need to factor any of that into your budget. If you’ve never been, this is the year to come; just don’t forget your appetite and your sunscreen!
