The Nellis Group would like to extend a special acknowledgment to Human Rights Day. On December 10th, we remember that the General Assembly of the UN adopted and proclaimed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. It happens to be the most translated document around the world. That document is also offered in over 500 languages. It has inspired people from all over the world to understand equality and realize that every human deserves the right to life, liberty and equality.
On Human Rights Day, we remember the importance of human rights as well as the importance to acknowledge and grow human rights daily. We remember that if it weren’t for men like Martin Luther King or women like Rosa Parks, the abolishment of slavery might have never happened in 1865. We remember The Holocaust from 1941 to 1945 and the horrific history it has left in its wake. And finally, we acknowledge and celebrate December of 1948 when the General Assembly of the UN adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and finally admitted that every human is worthy of equal opportunity.
