Capitol Hill Day is coming up on Saturday, September 15th 2018 at the U.S. Capitol Visitors Center from 9am-4pm FREE. George Washington laid the cornerstone of this historic building 225 years ago and Capitol Hill day features events to remember this occasion.
The event is not just for residents of the historic Capitol Hill neighborhood. Events include guided tours and lots of interesting history stations to teach you about this impressive structure (see the schedule here). Make sure to check before you plan your visit if you go this weekend as weather may change or cancel some of the events.
You can also take the day to explore the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Visit the botanical gardens. Take a trip through one of the many parks. Or head over to Eastern Market for another exciting weekend activity that makes DC a great place to live. You can visit the city via metro and get off at Capitol South to get the best tour of the neighborhood.
If you have time this weekend and are looking for something to do where you can learn about history and take in the sites of the neighborhood, you can also stop by our latest Investment property just down the street. It is a rowhome with 3 separate units and a great opportunity to get into the neighborhood and have some rental income coming in. (Learn More & Take the 3D Tour)
