The Washington Capitals Ice Hockey team has come together with The Wharf to bring an amazing skating experience. The Wharf, Located in DC has an over the water ice skating rink with beautiful twinkly lights above and makes the perfect addition to your night out. Enjoy this beautiful ice skating rink known as “Winter at the Wharf”, designed with the Washington Capitals panels and a tiki bar serving cocktails and beer. The Wharf also has restaurants along the water, shops and a s’mores bar with an outdoor fire pit to roast your own s’mores. During the warmer months, they have a variety of aquatic activities such as boat tours, kayaking and paddle boarding. They even host events and concerts on their stage making it the perfect year round destination for locals and visitors.
Virginia
In Virginia, there is an outdoor ice skating rink located in the heart of Reston Town Center. This ice rink has options for renting out the entire pavilion for parties or events and even skate hosts to assist during the event. They also have skate assisting penguins to help kids give them more stability while skating. Reston Town Center is known for its vibrant urban area combining commercial, retail and residential. This allows residents to live, work and play all in the same area and is extremely pedestrian friendly. Maryland
Maryland has an outdoor ice skating rink located in Downtown Silver Spring and is the perfect activity to add to your family’s day out or even a date night. They offer group, youth and adult lessons as well as private lessons. Tickets must be purchased online and are available to purchase 2 weeks in advance. This amazing community also has a Regal Movie Theatre showing all of the recent and popular movies. Downtown Silver Spring is popular for its diverse range of activities such as entertainment, shopping, and dining. They host many cultural events including art exhibitions, performances and celebrations. Downtown Silver Spring also has commercial and retail spaces adding to its lively and dynamic community.
